When We Praise

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.  Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.  Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations." Psalm 100 King James Version (KJV)

Today's Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, today we THANK YOU. Thank You for giving us this day to celebrate You and to give You thanks and praise. The word of the Lord states in Psalm 34: 1 "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth." We must Praise. Lord, we desire to learn how to worship You as You deserve. Help us, Lord, to grow into the sort of worshipper that You seek – one that worships You in spirit and truth. We pray that our lives may be one that honours You in all we say and do. Lord, we pray that we may learn to walk in all of Your ways and to love You with all of our heart - to serve with our whole being and to learn to love You as You have loved us. Teach us, Lord, how to worship You in the beauty of holiness so that we may be one that bows our hearts before You in spirit and truth, to Your honour and glory. We give You praise and worship Your holy name. We ascribe to You the glory and honour that is due to You - for You are our God, You alone are our Creator our Lord and our Saviour – and You alone are deserving of our worship and our Praise. Dear Lord, we love and worship You for all that You have done for us. Thank You for making us in Your own image and for all the many blessings and benefits that You have bestowed on all those that love You. Lord, we surrender to You completely… to present ourselves as a living sacrifice before You. Today we take up our cross and present ourselves to You as a spiritual act of worship for You alone are worthy.

Open our eyes to see You more. Open our ears to hear Your still small voice and open our heart to worship You more and more so that we may grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. - in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
