"For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
Today I decided to pray for strength in the midst of turbulent times. It can be so easy to give in to worry, fear and despair, but with Him we can find strength, and look forward to wonderful things. He gives us hope! The Joy of the Lord is our STRENGTH. Through faith in Christ, we are given a spirit of power, love, and discipline, and for that reason, we have nothing to fear. We can hold onto His promises and be confident that He’ll see us through even the darkest of days.
Today's Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, we THANK YOU. Thank You for waking us up this morning with our minds stayed on You. Bless us in our travels today. Go before us Lord and make the crooked paths straight. Lord today, we come to You to ask for Strength. Lord, we acknowledge that we need YOU..every second, every minute, every hour, every day. Lord, like David, we need Your Strength in the hard times and in the sad times. Thank you for being the same God to us that You were to David. Thank You for always being near to lead and guide us. Lord, help us to remember that daybreak might be just ahead and that these tests and trials will not last forever. Fill us with the hope that daybreak is coming and that Your love will always prevail! You are our rock, and we know that You will give us the strength to endure. Remind us that Your joy will completely consume the weakness of our lives and make us strong again. Lord, we shall mount up with wings like an eagle, but we will not just fly. we will soar, because of Your love, Your mercy, and Your Strength. Renew our strength today. Fill us with Your supernatural power to overcome each obstacle in our paths. Help us to keep our eyes stayed on You and remind us once again that You are walking beside us every step of the way. Continue to fill us with your Joy because we know the Joy of the Lord is our Strength. This is our prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
