Tomorrow Is Not Promised

Happy Monday, can you believe it's the last week of the 1st month of a new decade. I don't know about anyone else, but I am sooooooooooooo excited about what the Lord is doing in the lives of His children.

I know that everyone has heard about the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and 7 other people yesterday. As soon as I heard the news, I thought tomorrow is not promised. Things are happening so quickly and even though people feel that they are invincible, none of us know when we will take our last breath. Because of this, it is important to be kind and show love. Anyone who knows me knows that I had such an incredible relationship with my parents, Lonnie and Theola Lesesane. Yes, spoiled rotten to my core, but more importantly, LOVED. I never had to question or wonder if my parents, my family loved me, because our house was always filled with love and laughter. Yes, we drove each other crazy at times, Yes, we had arguments and disagreements, but the LOVE was always present. One of the things that I am so grateful to the Lord for is my last words to my parents. My last words to my Mother, before she passed away were, "I Love You, Mommy" and her response to me was, "I Love You, Baby." Then 16 years later, my last words to my Father were, "I Love You, Daddy" and his response to me was, "I Love You, Baby." Knowing these were my last words to them and their last words to me have brought me countless hours of comfort.

I encourage you today, to share words of love and affirmation to family and friends, I encourage you to FORGIVE today. Even if they didn't say they were sorry, FORGIVE ANYWAY. Let go of any anger that you may be holding in your heart. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift––that is why it is called the present.” When someone's lost, hurt, feeling hopeless or just sad, Take the time, give 'em a lift. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, But today, be the gift that someone needs. If you have hurt someone, Apologize. There's only one perfect one and His name is Jesus, so admit your mistakes, apologize and move on. Life is much better when you walk in Peace.

Tomorrow is not promised, share Jesus Joy today.

Thank you for your support of CJL Ministries. Much love to each of you.

Blessings, Carolyn
