Happy Friday!!!! The weather forecast for this weekend is simply beautiful Sunny skies and high temperatures ( summer-like weekend on the 2nd official day of fall). This morning, while watching the news, I learned of a shooting last night in Washington, DC (multiple people shot, 1 fatality). Sadly, shootings in DC and Baltimore are everyday occurrences and something has to be done. Our young African American Men are dying every day by the hands of another African American. Where are the mighty men of valor? Where of the men who understand that it is their responsibility to protect the land and their families, but not with guns, knives, and drugs, but love, kindness, and honest work?
In the book of Judges. Gideon questions where is God, because the forces that are against them seem to be stronger. God reminds them of who they are. MIGHTY MEN OF VALOR. I know that life has a way of crushing people especially our African American men. It started with slavery and that slave mentality is still present today. The cycle must be broken... we are losing our legacy to drugs and violence.
