Keep The Faith

"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing... James 1:1-4

The word of God states in James that our faith will be tried. Things will happen, there will be ups and there will certainly be downs, but the word of God admonishes us to KEEP THE FAITH. The job of the enemy is to convince us that God has left us, but we must KEEP THE FAITH. Sometimes, oftentimes this is much easier said than done. One of our church members' 10year old son, just had his third surgery to repair a defect in his heart, but I was encouraged by his prayer on our prayer line the night before his surgery, he declared, "My heart is healed". Our King Asante, came through his surgery and is now on the road to recovery. The word of God reminds us that if we have the faith of a mustard seed, GREAT THINGS can and will happen. “Because of your little faith,” Jesus told them. “For if you had faith even as small as a tiny mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would go far away. Nothing would be impossible." Matthew 17:20

KEEP THE FAITH

Understanding that life will throw numerous curveballs, but God reminds us if we KEEP THE FAITH, there is nothing that is impossible. God can do anything and everything but fail. Now, things may not turn out exactly the way we want them to, but God will never leave us nor forsake us. My godmother Overseer Nelson's mother just turned 101 years old a few weeks ago. Yes, each day she has aches and pains, and she moves a little slow but she is still moving. She is able to dress and feed herself. She has the full activity of her limbs and her mind is sharp, when asked, she says I keep taking it one day at a time. She has survived 101 years by KEEPING THE FAITH.

Yes, today you may face a challenge, you may receive a phone call today with some disturbing news, but knowing this, let patience have her perfect work... God is in complete control and in the end, you will win if you KEEP THE FAITH.

Have a blessed day and amazing weekend.

Evangelist Carolyn
