Thanking God for another opportunity to say THANK YOU for freedom. The word of God in John 8:36 states " Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. " This speaks of the freedom given to us when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. This freedom is the freedom they spoke about in the book of Acts. Paul and Silas were jailed because they believed in the redemptive power of Jesus. Acts 16:23 states, " And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God:..". After giving God praise, the Lord allowed a great earthquake upon the land and the prison doors flew open. Freedom was given to these imprisoned men when they choose God. What are you willing to do to have FREEDOM? What price are you willing to pay to have Freedom in Jesus? Are you willing to walk away from old habits? Are you will to lose some friends? Are you willing to stand up for righteousness? What will it cost you to gain Freedom in Jesus? I remember when I first received the Lord as my personal Savior, I lost some friends. They didn't understand why I didn't want to hang out anymore. I explained to them that I had found a new joy, a joy that couldn't be found in a nightclub. The Joy of the Lord is my strength. I am Free, Praise the Lord, I'm Free. No longer bound, No more chains holding me. My Soul is resting, it's just a blessing. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, I'm Free.
