Grace

Happy Thursday!!! I am still stuck on GRACE. I first published this blog last September and I thought it was worth publishing again.

What is grace? Grace in Christianity is the free and unmerited favour of God as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowing of blessings. ... Bill Gothard, an American conservative Christian, has suggested "God's grace gives us the desire and the power to do his will."

Webster's definition of the word Grace states.. "simple elegance or refinement of movement', but surprisingly there was another definition listed in 4 parts

1." unmerited divine assistance is given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification" 2. a virtue coming from God;

3. a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance

4. "Approval / FAVOR"

Definition of God's Grace – How do theologians define it? In the New Testament grace means God’s love in action towards men who merited the opposite of love. Grace means God moving heaven and earth to save sinners who could not lift a finger to save themselves. Grace means God sending His only Son to descend into hell on the cross so that we guilty ones might be reconciled to God and received into heaven. ‘(God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him’" (2 Corinthians 5:21).1 I Thank God for Grace. We fail God every day, but His Grace never fails. Each of us woke up this morning in with renewed grace and mercy.

Lamentations 3:22-23 Grace that was freely given to us from the Lord God. It was nothing that we had done to deserve this grace or mercy, it's all because of the never-ending love that God has for us that we are saved by Grace. Ephesians 2:8 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God" I Thank God for Grace.

Today I encourage you to take a moment to Thank God for Grace. This precious gift that He bestows upon us each and every day. "Where would I be, if not for your grace? Grace that restores, Grace that redeems, Grace that releases me to worship, Grace repairs visions and dreams, Grace that releases miracles. Your GRACE."

As stated early, Grace cannot be earned, but it is a gift freely given from God. So, when the enemy tries to remind you of your past failures or shortcomings, remind him and yourself that you are covered by Grace. Romans, 3:23-24 states, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:" God's Grace covers and redeems us. Walk-in victory, be restored, be redeemed, be free. We are covered by God's Amazing Grace.
