Don't Stop Praying

It’s Easter Monday....Easter Monday is the day after Easter Sunday and is a holiday in some countries. In the Eastern Orthodox Church and Byzantine Rite Catholic Churches, this day is called "Bright Monday" or "Renewal Monday". Resurrection Sunday is perhaps the biggest day in the Christian calendar when churchgoers celebrate Christ’s resurrection.

Easter Sunday is the day when Jesus emerged from the tomb after his crucifixion, proving (for Christians) there is life beyond death. Easter Monday is the day when Christians can reflect on the significance of Christ's resurrection and can start renewed in their faith and belief of Christ's power, love and grace. We must continue in prayer. I know some may ask, why do I talk about Prayer so much. Simply put, Prayer is communication with God. I sincerely feel that prayer is the most important conversations that you have throughout the day. You can pray in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening, God is always available. It's so important to take time to commune with God through prayer. Prayer is spiritual communication between you and God and it is a two-way conversation. Yes, God does answer us in prayer. It's very important to listen for God's voice. He is a prayer-answering God.

Today, I ask that you take some time to talk to the Lord in prayer. Oftentimes, when someone is asked to pray, they will answer, I don't know how to pray. My answer is just to talk to God. Tell the Lord how you are feeling. Be honest. If you need help, ask for help. Some may think you need to pray like the Pastor or the Bishop, using big words and eloquent gestures and phrases for God to hear you, but in reality, He listens to even our shortest “SOS” prayers. Sometimes, the fewer the words, the better the prayer. Isn’t that reassuring, that we can talk to God in everyday language, just like we talk to a friend? God is our friend. We don’t have to pray long. God delights in simple words of praise, like “Lord, I love You.” He answers the simplest request: “Lord, give me strength for today' or simply crying out. HELP". I promise you will feel better after a little talk with Jesus.
