Happy Thankful Thursday!!! This is the day that the Lord has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. Our God is an awesome God and He is worthy to be praised. Still feel the need to encourage those who may be feeling weary or tired in their spirit. In times like this, it is so important to have a grounded relationship with the Lord. When you know where your help comes from, you feel less burdened and overwhelmed. The key to being renewed in strength is that we “wait for the Lord” indicating we wait for His sovereign plan to unfold while doing what we can. Then, after we’ve waited, we can run and not grow weary; we can walk and not faint along the way. While we’re waiting “for the Lord” we can rest in Him, knowing that all things are in His control. This pandemic didn't take God by surprise. He was not thrown off by anything that is happening in the world today. I just want to remind you again.. SELF-CARE IS ESSENTIAL. My company began working fully remotely on March 13, which was 7 weeks ago tomorrow, so yesterday my boss encourages us to take some personal time. Everyone needs to take some Me Time. Remember the Lord reminds us that is we want the kind of rest that never goes away? Then we have to give our troubles and our burdens to the Lord and LIVE THEM THERE. He’s the only one Who can truly give you rest; everything else is just a catnap. How do you get this rest? Jesus says you must “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt 11:29-30).
On Sunday, my pastor, Bishop Duane Johnson, Speak To My Heart Ministries preached such an encouraging message entitled "Arise". While no one knows exactly when the government-mandated stay at home orders will be lifted, but we know that this too shall pass. Yes, things will be different when the government mandates are lifted, but they will be lifted. During this time, have you been getting ready to Arise? This pandemic has caused the entire world to slow down, but when things open back up, you need to be ready to Arise. You should Arise stronger, better, and wiser. I pray that this message ministers to your spirit. Arise, my brother. Arise, my sister. God is still performing miracles. God is still making ways out of no way. God is still opening doors no man can shut. God is still closing doors that no man can open. GOD IS STILL IN COMPLETE CONTROL!!!
